The who and the why behind the tuning calculator, and how every number on this site is arrived at.

FH6 Tuner is a free Forza Horizon 6 tuning calculator, meta car database and set of setup guides, built and maintained by Alexander Royle, a sim racer of ten years and published gaming journalist. Every tune is derived from the same physics and the same live-meta research, not guessed.

Who builds this

I am Alexander Royle. I have spent ten years sim racing across the serious titles, I write about games for a living, and I play Forza Horizon 6 competitively. The short version of the CV that matters here:

I built FH6 Tuner because the good setups were buried in spreadsheets, Discord threads and 40-minute videos, and nobody has time for that. Everything here is the tune I would actually run.

How the tunes are made

The calculator is not a lookup table. It works out each setting from the car in front of it: the weight over each axle, the weight distribution, the drivetrain and the power you are aiming for. Springs come from a target ride frequency, the final drive from a power-based formula, and the differential and anti-roll bars from the balance the discipline wants. That is why two different cars in the same class get two different tunes.

How the meta is sourced

The meta cars are not opinion. They come from the Forza Horizon 6 Rivals leaderboards, leaderboard trackers and community tier lists, cross-checked against what actually wins. The meta shifts with every seasonal patch and every new car, so the picks and the tunes are revised to match. When a part is over-performing and likely to be patched, such as the current off-road tyre and centrifugal supercharger picks, the guides say so.
